Sport, fitness and healthy living have played a large part in my life. From my early teens, I have competed in many events in a wide variety of sports. Some of my personal achievements include:
-10 years competitive rugby union (first grade) 5 years competitive soccer (first grade)
-Numerous triathlon events (including half-ironman distance)
-London Marathon
-Tough Guy (UK) & Tough Bloke (Aus)
As a competitive sportsman, I have also experienced a number of injuries along the way. In the past I have suffered from knee problems, lower back issues, sciatica, limb fractures and a severe shoulder injury that required a reconstruction. By necessity, rehabilitation and injury management have always featured highly in my training regime. There was also a point following injury when my weight ballooned to 86 kilograms - this meant I was technically classified as clinically obese. But with sound and sensible changes to my diet and lifestyle, I soon returned to good health and fitness. So if injuries and weight issues are problems you face, please be assured that I have been there myself. If I can do it, you can do it too - together we can achieve the results you desire.
So after many years working in the corporate world, I decided to pursue my passion for health and fitness by studying to be a fitness instructor and personal trainer at the world-renowned Australian Institute of Fitness in Sydney. Having achieved my qualifications, I am now in a great position where I can make a positive contribution to your own health and wellbeing.
