Winter is here!
WATCH OUT!
As we all probably know Its a very dangerous time of the year for putting on weight!
That said, whether or not you're ready for Winter, don't let visions of looking great in your jeans and boots let you take an extreme approach to fat loss. Its never healthy to try and lose weight too quickly. Instead strive for progress, not perfection. And remember, you're always looking to ultimately change your lifestyle-so you can be fit and healthy for LIFE. With that, I give you some "Dos and Don'ts" that will help you on your quest to get fit for Wintertime....
-DO eat plently of protien. Great sources are chicken break, port tenderloin, steak (top sirloin) and eggs. And if you're in a pinch, protein powder or a protein bar are excellent choices. Also add plenty of fruits and veggies to the mix. Go easy on the carbs (rice, potatoes etc.)
-DONT be tempted to take any "fat burning" pills. These are a waste of your money and are loaded with stimulants that can wreak havoc on your nervous system. STAY CLEAR OF THESE
- DO make sure to each a cheat meal once a week. Why? It curbs cravings throughout the week and helps you stay on track. Physiologically speaking, it helps keep your body in a constant state of fat loss. So reward yourself once a week. Eat whatever you want (just don't overdo it!)
-DONT weight yourself often. The scale is deceiving and can drive you crazy. Plus, it can make you give up when you don't see a change in the numbers. Remember, the scale dosnt account for muslce gain, which can cause the scale not to budge, even IF you've lost plenty of fat!
Yours in Good Health,
